The website has been updated. Go to the Home Page and you will see
information on our upcoming fundraiser, Empty Bowls. Save the date --
October 22. Also, we have a new link connecting our site to "Help In
Anthem" for those clients needing further assistance in the Anthem Area.

On the left side of the Home Page, click on "Volunteer Info" and you'll
find the revised Operating Instructions Manual, Food Bank Job Openings,
and a Calendar of Events.
 
Our busiest time of the year is September through December, and we need
volunteers to help with many of the events -- parades, information
booths, holiday Adopt-a-Family, etc. Contact Sharon Alexander at

*School Supplies** *It's that time of the year and we are looking for
donations of pencils, paper, erasers, crayons, rulers, etc.
 
*Handwriting* is not always easy for others to read. Please print when
filling out forms, working the reception desk, etc. whenever possible.
 
*Donations* of plastic bags are always needed.
 
*Basha's Thank You Card holders*Did you know that you can have them
swipe your card at the Carefree Basha's, ask them to enter Foothills
Food Bank number 26846, and the Food Bank will receive 1% of your
purchases? It won't show on your receipt when you purchase groceries,
but it does come to the Food Bank!
 
*Drop off cans for recycling* at the Food Bank and we turn them in for
money. Aluminum cans only please.
 
*Food Bank/American Legion Chili Cook-Off *We are in need of a volunteer
to head "Wicked Halloween in Cave Creek", a new event that will allow us
to get out into the community and raise awareness of our services.  It
will include a Chili Cook-Off! If anyone has experience with a cook-off
of any kind or you would like to head up this event, please email Sharon
