WHO WE ARE
The Kiwanis Club of Carefree is a community of civic-minded, patriotic men and women united by a common goal: to enrich the lives of children and young adults in our area.
We are dedicated to creating brighter futures for local children through hands-on support, educational programs, scholarships, and community events.
WHAT WE DO
WE GIVE THE KIDS A CHANCE TO FLY, yes, to actually pilot a glider aircraft, one-on-one with an instructor. After 30 hours of classroom and simulator training in the “AVIATION AND AEROSPACE INTRODUCTORY COURSE” in the “FLEDGING YOUTH” program, each student has the opportunity to pilot a full size glider aircraft. The kids love it, it’s empowering, and several have continued on to the full private pilot license course.

Whether you’re a longtime member or just curious to see what we’re about, you’re warmly welcome to join us for our weekly community lunches.
These informational gatherings are a great way to enjoy good food, connect with friendly faces, and learn more about what we do – all in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Come as you are, bring a friend, and feel free to just enjoy the meal or ask questions about getting involved.
Our weekly lunch meetings are held every Wednesday at 11:30am at Harold’s Corral in Cave Creek.
